Note Taking - It doesn’t always have to be adult support. Note taking is one of the hardest skills to be able to accomplish with any learning disabled student. Technology can support the learner to become more independent in the classroom and better prepared for assessments throughout the school year. Using technology for students can be taught in the resource rooms at the secondary level. Participants will look at Microsoft OneNote and Google Docs which have features to support any learner in the classroom. Voice to Text and voice recording. Explore the dictation features on multiple apps and software available for the classroom. Even though voice to text has been around for a while, all of the different voice to text systems are not created equal. Participants will look at technologies from Microsoft, Google, Evernote, Nuance Dragon, TextHelp, Don Johnston products along with many others. Finally, they can apply it into classroom learning.
