Description
How we read to preschoolers is as important as how frequently we read to them. Dialogic Reading is a research based method of reading to preschoolers. The fundamental reading technique in dialogic reading is the PEER sequence. This is a short interaction between a child and the adult. There are five types of prompts that are used in dialogic reading to being PEER sequences. You can remember these prompts with the word CROWD. Participants will learn about this method, generate questions to support the classroom book set provided and practice using the method.
