Intended Audience: Preschool- 1st Grade teachers using the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum This 3 hour session will give an overview of the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum in connection with the updated Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of priority phonemic awareness skills, how to support PA development, and how to effectively implement The Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum in a responsive and informed manner. Please bring your current teaching manual to the session to assist in planning and practice of the priority skills.
