UPLIFT Trauma-Informed Care in Practice: Collaboration & Mutuality Through Cultural Humility

Trauma can negatively impact physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral development, and can have lasting effects on health and well-being well into adulthood. A trauma-informed approach can help schools thoughtfully look at strategies to identify areas that may be perpetuating trauma responses in students, staff, and families.  This session is intended to build understanding of collaboration and culture and how trauma impacts student and family engagement and relationships in schools.  The training is designed to increase understanding of collaboration, mutuality and culture, strategies to increase engagement and collaboration, and trauma-informed policies and practices.
