UPLIFT: Trust and Transparency

Trauma can negatively impact physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral development, and can have lasting effects on health and well-being well into adulthood. A trauma-informed approach can help schools thoughtfully look at strategies to identify areas that may be perpetuating trauma responses in students, staff, and families. UPLIFT Trauma-Informed Care in Practice: Trust and Transparency is intended to build understanding of the concepts of trust transparency in schools and how trauma impacts attachment. The training is designed to increase understanding of building trust through fostering positive relationships, positive classroom culture, communication, reciprocity, and shared responsibility. The role of transparency in school policies, decision-making processes, and resource allocation understanding will also be discussed.
