Enhancing Mathematics for Students Who Struggle (Algebraic Expressions and Equations)

*Ideal participants are General Education and Special Education/Interventionists teacher teams. This course focuses on Grade 6 through Algebra 1 students who struggle with mathematics (whether diagnosed as learning disabled or not), who are learning the general mathematics curriculum and may need accommodations and support. It provides their teachers with a framework to aid in choosing accessibility strategies that fit the needs of students and the goals of the math lessons, and ways to build collaborative teaching relationships that can work in their varied school settings. As a result of participating in this course, teachers should find new ideas and methods to collaborate to better meet the needs of students with learning disabilities and other students who struggle with math.
