As part of the MDE Grant Assurances for any Early Literacy Coaches funded by the 35a budget, our quarterly meetings provide consistent synchronous learning focused on current literacy coaching and instructional topics as they apply to the Essential Practices. These topics are generated from the feedback forms from previous sessions, coaching coordinator input, support and leadership from groups like the Early Literacy Task Force Professional Learning Work Group, and knowledge of the fresh topics and research in the literacy field that support our work. In short, these sessions help us stay up-to-date and apply new learning to our grounding frameworks like the essentials.
